Is High End Makeup Worth It
Do y'all ever walk through fancy dazzler halls and wonder who comes up with those middle-watering cost tags? Well I do. And so terminal week I decided to do a piffling experiment. I created ii makeup looks, for the first I used just high street (aka drugstore) products. Every single thing I applied to my confront cost less than £15 - in fact, most of information technology cost less than a tenner. Verdict:
I loved how my skin looked afterwards using the Maybelline foundation, whilst it's staying power wasn't quite as good every bit Dior's, information technology withal delivered A* coverage and left my skin looking brilliant and glowy. Also, it'south worth noting that Dior'southward foundation is pricier because the formula is packed with skincare ingredients that help shine out whatsoever texture and boost luminosity.
When it came to concealer I found NYX's Coverage Concealer (used in Look A) to be the star of the show, it hid eeeeverything, without creasing or caking.
Bronzer-wise it was tough. Bourjois' offering applied a little patchy and I found the shade a tad too warm for my ghostly-pale complexion. La Mer's multi-hued bronzer blended similar a dream and it gave my skin a pretty glow. I detest to say it, simply i'one thousand a bronzer snob, so I'd selection La Mer every time - yeah, even with the hefty cost tag.

I know, I know, I demand to become my eyebrows threaded. Badly. Simply attempt to ignore ALL the devious hairs (if y'all tin), and just look at the colour. These two shades are oh-so similar. Both are suuuper-brilliant reds and both leave a creamy smooth on the lips. I plant the Givenchy lipstick a tad dewier than the Drove one, which meant information technology kept my lips moisturised for a footling longer. Other than that though, at that place was virtually no divergence.
What I've learnt:
Surprising, huh? At present I won't prevarication, I'll probs even so drop an embarrassing amount of coin on makeup, I tin can't assist information technology. I take a problem. Plus, I think it's worth remembering that brands like Tom Ford, Dior and By Terry invest a hell of a lot of coin into their formulas and ingredients.
